About the competition
An event to encourage memorization, correct recitation and attachment to the values of the Holy Qur'an.
The The Holy Qur'an Memorial Contest is a community initiative organized by the Horizon Association to encourage children, young people and adults to advance in the memory, recitation and understanding of the Qur'an.
The event focuses on the quality of recitation, respect for the rules of tajwid, concentration, regularity of learning and spirit of fraternity among participants. This is not only a competition, but also a moment of encouragement, transmission and valorisation of the efforts made throughout the year.
Participants will be allocated by age category and level of memory to ensure a fair assessment. Symbolic prizes, participation certificates and awards will be awarded to the winners.
Participation categories
To ensure a fair and motivating evaluation, the competition is organized into several categories:
Category Children : 7 to 12 years, memorization of short Suras.
Youth category : from 13 to 18 years, memorization of a hizb or more depending on the level.
Category Adults : recitation and memorization according to the personal path.
Category Tajwid : specific evaluation of the quality of recitation.
Incentive price for participants who showed remarkable progress.
Each participant will be referred to the most appropriate category when validating their registration.
